Also survived by nieces Dianne, Carolyn, Tracy and Vickie.

She lived and worked in the construction industry in Alberta for the past 22 years.
Most recently she was employed as a contract administrator at the Athabasca
Oil Sands Downstream Project in Fort Saskatchewan. She gained strength from her
many Friends and work family in Alberta.
Janet enjoyed life, especially she loved her work. She also found pleasure in
golfing, fly-fishing, gardening and travelling. She had a special place in her
heart for the village and people of Placencia in Belize.
A memorials service was held on September 27 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
A memorial service will also be held at Mindemoya United
Church on October 13, 2001 at 3: 00 p.m. and
in Belize at a later date.

Melvin LISCUMB, a resident of the Manitoulin Centennial Manor,
Little Current, died at the Manor on Sunday, August 19, 2001 at the
age of 86 years. He was born in Sandfield,
son of the late Tobias and
Nancy
{ROBINSON}
LISCUMB.
Melvin had worked at a variety of jobs over
the years, and the last being for the Department of Highways, for 25
years, retiring in the late '70s. He was a member of the Community of
Christ Church and had many interests including cutting wood,
gardening, fixing things and visiting with Friends and neighbours. He
will be sadly missed by family and Friends.

Ida M. BRYANT, a resident of Manitowaning, passed away at the Manitoulin Health
Centre, Little Current, on Monday, October 1, 2001 at the age of 82 years.
She was born in Sheguiandah Township, daughter of the late William and Annie
{BRYANT}
CONNOR.
She worked at the Assiginack Museum and was the caretaker
of Knox United Church for over 30 years. Ida was very active in the community
as a member of the Friendship Club, Knox United Church, Agricultural and
Horticultural Societies. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and
visiting with her many Friends and family.
Predeceased by her loving husband James Henry
