Ronald David OWL
In loving memory of Ronald David OWL, June 11 1944-January 22 2001. Ronald OWL, a resident of Sucker Creek First Nation, died at his residence on Monday, January 22, 2001 in his 57th year, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love and laughter. Ron had served in the USA Army as a specialist during the Viet Nam war. He had received the Cambodia Campaign Ribbon as well as other medals and decorations. He had worked for Canada post in Toronto for 15 years retiring in 1990, when he moved home to Sucker Creek, and then worked as a labourer for the Sucker Creek Band. He enjoyed sports, hockey and football, but he took great pleasure in reading and watching documentaries on war, and reading science fiction books and magazines.
Beloved father of Lee-Anne SCOTT (husband Michael) of Collingwood, Brandon of Sucker Creek, Trevor (Carrie MIGWANS) of Sudbury and Taryan of Waterloo. Loved and proud grandfather of Tyler, Hunter and Trevor Jr. Also survived by treasured little sister Lori Madahbee (Danny) of Sucker Creek, Shirley MURDOCH (Robert) of Toronto and brother Same (wife Josephine) of Michigan. Special friend of Sylvia MARKLE-CRAINE, Jo-Anne DINOVA, Nancy OWL, Debbie OWL, Ed and Lorraine KOZEYAH and the MARKLE family. He was loved and will be missed by seven nieces and five nephews.
Predeceased by parents Madeline {SOLOMON} OWL and father Levi OWL, twin brother Donald Richard and sister Elsie Rose. Friends may call at the Sucker Creek Community Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday. The funeral service will be conducted there on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 11: 00 am. with Reverend Richard White officiating.
Interment in Sucker Creek Cemetery.

In loving memory of Gerald PITAWANAKWAT, August 11 1941 to February 13 2001.
Gerald PITAWANAKWAT, a resident of Toronto passed away at Humber River Regional Hospital, Church St. Site, Toronto, on Tuesday, February 13 2001 at the age of 59 years. Gerald was born in Cape Croker, son of the late Fred PITAWANAKWAT, and Agnes WAGOSH PITAWANAKWAT. Gerald was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling.
Beloved husband of the late Hazel {MIGWANS} PITAWANAKWAT (predeceased May 3, 2000.) Dear father of Susan CADA and Gabriel both of Toronto. Survived by
brother of Ken (Marlene) NADJIWON of Sudbury, Charlene NADJIWON and Peter NADJIWON both of Cape Croker. Predeceased by one brother Arnold. Loving grandfather of two grandchildren Joseph G. and Emily Alexandria. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah after 7 pm. on Saturday February 17, 2001. Funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 19, 2001 from Holy Cross Church at 11 am. Father Doug McCARTHY was the celebrant. Interment in the Wikwemikong Cemetery.

Predeceased by husband Joseph MIGWANS and infant son Michael. Dear friend of Bill FERGUSON of M'Chigeeng. Beloved mother of Fred (wife Leah,) Sylvia (husband Bernard) ENSE, Leland, Russell (friend Beatrice) all of M'Chigeeng, Clyde (wife Colleen) of Wikwemikong, Lorraine of Sault Ste. Marie, Rhoda (Jeremy) EPP of Calgary, Joe (friend Marge) of Whitehorse.
Loving grandmother of Ryan, Sage, Wasnode, Adam, Vince, Tashina, Marlon, Marshall, Nathan, Joseph, Jordan, Neil, Brooke and Russell Junior. Dear daughter of Paul and Mabel CORBIERE both predeceased. Will be missed by brothers and sisters Archie (wife Hilda) CORBIERE, Alvin (wife Angeline) CORBIERE, Veronica CORBIERE, Shirley (husband Klaus) KAISER, Nancy CORBIERE (friend Eric) all of M'Chigeeng, Rosalind (husband Andrew) SHIGWADJA of Orillia, George CORBIERE of
Orillia, Sylvia SHAWANDA and (friend Edward) of Birch Island, Caroline CORBIERE of Sudbury and Orien CORBIERE of Thunder Bay. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and Friends. Visitation was on Friday, September 21, 2001 at the M'Chigeeng Community Complex. The Funeral service was held on Monday, September 24, 2001 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in M'Chigeeng, Ontario with Father Foliot officiating. Burial to take place M'Chigeeng Cemetery. Arrangement by Island Funeral Home.
