CLARE, 'Tom' Thomas James
In loving memory of Thomas J. 'Tom' CLARE, 84 years of Sudbury,
who passed away Saturday morning, January 6th, 2001, at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born in Liverpool England, he married Aletha (HAMILTON) in 1971 in Scarborough. Tom came to the Sudbury area at age 5. He served overseas during World War II with the Canadian Army. A proud veteran, he was a faithful member of the War Pensioners of Canada, through his hardwork and vision, the Fields of Honour was established at Civic Cemetery. During his working life he had lived in Southern Ontario when he worked for the Hudson Bay Co., the Livingston Mutual Warehousing Co. and the Canadian Commissioners. He returned to Sudbury in 1986 from Scarborough. A man of faith, he regularly participated in the ministry and fellowship of St. Andrew’s United Church. An avid gardener, he had a special keeness in growing roses. Tom was an outstanding Canadian and Sudburian who made a difference in improving the lives of others. He embodied the biblical characters of a good Samaritan and caring shepherd and like St. Paul can echo the words 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished by course, I have kept the faith.' Beloved husband of Aletha (HAMILTON) CLARE of Sudbury. Loving father of Jean MOJSUK predeceased, Beverley (husband Richard BOUCHER) of Windsor, Judith (husband Gary LUNCH) of Amherstburg, and Cheryl MURRAY of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Janice MERCER (husband Bruce,) Holly MOJSUK predeceased, Bruce MOJSUK, Victoria PAPIA, Michelle SOUCIE, Darryl BOUCHER (wife Patti), Dean BOUCHER, Sean MURRAY (wife Kim), Kevin MURRAY (wife Jennifer) and Lana MURRAY (friend Shane), great grandchildren Lee (predeceased), Jay, Brianna, Delia, Preston, Danny, Taylor, Alyssa and Emily. son of George and Ellen CLARE predeceased. Brother of Albert (wife Gladys) of Ottawa and of the late Nellie CURRIE, Edward and George CLARE both predeceased. Memorial Service in St. Andew’s United Church, 111 Larch Street, Sudbury on Wednesday, January 10th, 2001 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.

Janet Ann GLASBY
In loving memory of Janet Ann GLASBY, who passed away on September 23, 2001 at the age of 44 years.
Janet was born in Mindemoya, Ontario. Beloved daughter of Alvin GLASBY of Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay. Sister of Dorothy of Little Current, Ed (wife Diane) of Tehkummah, and Lorraine (husband Roger PYETTE) of Manitowaning. Also survived by nieces Dianne, Carolyn, Tracy and Vickie. Predeceased by mother Elaine {SLOAN} . Also remembered by her good Friends Ruth MOODIE, Maureen CLAYTON, David MERCIER and the GLENN family of Markerville, Alberta. She lived and worked in the construction industry in Alberta for the past 22 years. Most recently she was employed as a contract administrator at the Athabasca Oil Sands Downstream Project in Fort Saskatchewan. She gained strength from her many Friends and work family in Alberta. Janet enjoyed life, especially she loved her work. She also found pleasure in golfing, fly-fishing, gardening and travelling. She had a special place in her heart for the village and people of Placencia in Belize. A memorials service was held on September 27 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. A memorial service will also be held at Mindemoya United Church on October 13, 2001 at 3: 00 p.m. and in Belize at a later date.

Dorothy May Blanche MERRYLEES
In loving memory of Dorothy May Blanche MERRYLEES, April 19 1915-May 15 2001.
Dorothy MERRYLEES, a resident of Bayside Apartments, died at the Mindemoya Hospital, on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at the age of 86 years. She was born in Burpee Township, daughter of the late Albert and Sarah {BAILEY} CAMPBELL. Dorothy had a wide variety of interests, including reading and travelling, and in particular loved to visit with family and relatives. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Cecil MERRYLEES in October of 1988. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Delbert and Audrey MERRYLEES of Naughton, Audrene MERRYLEES of Sudbury, Curtis MERRYLEES of Gore Bay, Carolyn and Ernie BAHNUK of St. Catherines, Barbara and Garry BLUE of Garson and Darwin and Sandy MERRYLEES of Lively. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister Leatha MORRELL of Elizabeth Bay, Lloyd CAMPBELL and his wife Kathleen of Evansville, and step brother Marvin CAMPBELL and his wife Reona of Little Current. Predeceased by brother Vern CAMPBELL and step sister Alberta SPRY. The funeral service was conducted at the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Wednesday, May 16 with Reverend Bonnie BURNETT officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.

Arnold Ammon MORRELL
In loving memory of Arnold Ammon MORRELL who passed away at his residence in Spanish on Friday, June 8, 2001 at the age of 70 years.
Predeceased by wife Audrey (1965) and daughter Anita.
Will be missed by daughters Amber and Ed MERRYLEES and her children Edeana, Adrianne, and Kevin, Susan and Barry COWAN and her children Jennifer and Jeremy, Diane, Leatha, and MaryAnn and their children.
Beloved son of Lawrence (predeceased) and Leatha, Dear brother of Ruth and husband Carl ROBINSON, Norris and wife Verna, Ellen and husband Morris BELL, Lloyd and friend Evelyn, Evan and wife Gertrude and Edward.
Predeceased by sister-in-law Betty MORRELL. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at the Island Funeral Home
with Pastor Margaret WOOD officiating. Burial at Gordon Cemetery.

Leatha Melvina MORRELL Leatha Melvina MORRELL, Thursday, August 16, 2001 at the Mindemoya Hospital, age 92 years.
Predeceased by beloved husband Lawrence (1966). Remembered with love by children: Ruth and Carl ROBINSON, Arnold and Audrey (both predeceased,) Norris and Verna, Ellen and Morris BELL, Lloyd and friend Evelyn, Betty (predeceased), Evan and Gertrude and Edward.
Will be remembered by many grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren. Sister of Lloyd and Kay CAMPBELL, Vern and Ruth CAMPBELL (both predeceased,) Dorothy MERRYLEES (predeceased,) half sister to Alberta SPRY (predeceased,) Marvin and Reona CAMPBELL.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, August 18 2001 in the new Complex in Evansville. Arrangements by Island Funeral Home.
