POLLOCK, Kenneth 'Ken' William
In loving memory of Kenneth 'Ken' William POLLOCK 75 years, who passed away Wednesday evening, January 3rd, 2001 at the Extendicare Falconbridge. Born in Sudbury, where he married in 1973 to Margaret his best friend and soul mate. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Inco for 40 years retiring in 1982. He served overseas with the Canadian Army during World War II. Ken was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 76, Sudbury, a member of Friendship Lodge #691 AF and AM and Chapter Rose Croix Valley of Sault Ste. Marie. Beloved husband of the late Lenore {ZINN} POLLOCK (predeceased 1970) and Margaret Emily {MacDONALD} POLLOCK of Garson. Loving father of Penelope 'Penny' of Pembroke, Thomas (wife Jane) of Barrie, Glenn (Nancy) of Terrace, B.C., and Timothy (wife April) of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear grandfather of Shelby, Emily, Jeffrey and Katrina. Dear son of the late Alexander and Ellen POLLOCK both predeceased. Dear brother of Gerald of Sudbury, Doris BARRY of Bolton and the late Jack, Margaret KELLY, Sandy, Ruby HARKNESS, Vivian McADAM, Mary MAGILL, Donald and Kathleen BISCHOFF all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by the MacDONALD family. Resting at the Jackson and barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Friday, January 5th, 2001 at 3 pm. Interment in the Civic Cemetery.

Dougald MAGOON
Long-time summer resident of McGregor Bay, Dougald MAGOON, passed away November 13, 2000 after a long illness. He first came to the Bay in 1946, with his parents Wallace and Iris MAGOON. After exploring the area camping and canoeing, the family purchased two islands. In 1948, Dougald's island home was built by his paternal grandparents. Dougald spent his vacations here for 54 years.
Survivors include his wife Bette MAGOON, a son Sean MAGOON (wife Rene,) three daughters Maureen BURGE (husband John,) Heather MAGOON and Kellie MAGOON, two brothers Duncan MAGOON and Rod MAGOON, two sisters Mary Anne MAGOON and Patricia HOGAN, and four grandchildren. Following Dougald MAGOON's wishes, a small service will be held at his island July 7 at 11: 00. For information about the service, please call 705-285-5129.
