Donald William LANKTREE
In loving memory of Donald William LANKTREE, July 27 1906 - March 11 2001. Donald LANKTREE, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, and formerly of Spring Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Sunday, March 11, 2001, at the age of 94 years. He was born at the homestead farm in Britainville, son of the late William and Jane {LOUGHEED} LANKTREE. Donald had farmed for many years, retiring from farming in 1967. He was always very active and had also worked at Hydro, Department of Highways, sawmills and at Stanley Park. He was a member of the Orange Lodge and had been a school trustee for many years. He enjoyed horses and horse racing, playing baseball, and as a southpaw pitcher, played until he was almost 50 years of age. Donald enjoyed people, had a great sense of humour and took great interest in others, while shunning the spotlight for himself. He will be sadly missed by his family and Friends, but many happy memories will be cherished.
Dearly loved husband of Jean {BOWSER} LANKTREE. Loving and loved father and father in law of Morris LANKTREE of Gore Bay, Eunice and Ben WILSON and Lois and Jim McCORMICK of Spring Bay, Marie and Mike LOVE of Mindemoya, Bill and Sherran LANKTREE of Gore Bay. June and Lorne HAMM of Havelock and Jean Anne and Shelley THIBAULT of Gore Bay. Proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Aileen WILLIAMS and son Kenneth, brother Frank and sisters Erma, Margaret, Ethel and Sarah.
Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home after 7 pm on Monday. The funeral service was conducted in the William G. Turner Chapel on Tuesday at 11: 00 am with Mr. Brian Owen officiating, assisted by Reverend Frank Haner and Geraldine Bould. Interment in Grimesthorpe Cemetery.

Christena Aileen JOHNSTON, September 19, 1910-September 2, 2001.
Christena JOHNSTON, a resident of Manitowaning, passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Sunday, September 2, 2001 at the age of 90 years. She was born at Grimsthorpe, daughter of the late John and Arabella {LOUGHEED} McMILLAN. She had worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant. Christena enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and bingo. Predeceased by her loving husband John JOHNSTON in 1969. Loving and loved mother of Jacqueline and Jim BRYANT of Manitowaning and Vernon and Pauline JOHNSTON also of Manitowaning. Proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Erma McALLISTER of Spring Bay and Doris WEBB of Gore Bay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Naomi and her husband Michael MORRISON and brothers Harold and Tommy.
The funeral service was conducted at the Manitowaning Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 4 with Reverend Frank Haner officiating. Interment in Grimsthorpe Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Manitowaning Chapel Funeral Home.

LOUKIDELIS, The Hon. Mr. Justice Spyros D.
In loving memory of The Hon. Mr. Justice Spyros D. LOUKIDELIS, 70 years, of Sudbury who passed away Saturday morning, January 6th, 2001 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (Laurentian Site), was born in North Bay, July 11th, 1930, and married Ruth Helen (MOTT) in Brantford in 1955. A well respected man of faith and justice, Spyros was the Regional Senior Justice of Superior Court Northeastern Ontario. He had served as the Chancellor of Thorneloe University (Laurentian), a member of the Executive Council of The Archdiocesan Council of the Greek Orthodox Church of North America and President of the Judge’s Association of Ontario (County and District). Beloved
husband of Ruth Helen (Mott) LOUKIDELIS of Sudbury. Loving father of
David LOUKIDELIS (wife Marie) of Victoria B.C., John LOUKIDELIS
