July 27 1906 - March 11 2001.
Donald LANKTREE, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, and formerly of Spring
Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Sunday, March
11, 2001, at the age of 94 years. He was born at the homestead farm in
Britainville,
son of the late William and Jane

LANKTREE.
Donald
had farmed for many years, retiring from farming in 1967. He was always
very active and had also worked at Hydro, Department of Highways, sawmills
and at Stanley Park. He was a member of the Orange Lodge and had been a
school trustee for many years. He enjoyed horses and horse racing, playing
baseball, and as a southpaw pitcher, played until he was almost 50 years of
age. Donald enjoyed people, had a great sense of humour and took great
interest in others, while shunning the spotlight for himself. He will be
sadly missed by his family and Friends, but many happy memories will be
cherished.

Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home after 7 pm on Monday. The funeral
service was conducted in the William G. Turner Chapel on Tuesday at 11: 00 am
with Mr. Brian Owen officiating, assisted by Reverend Frank Haner and Geraldine
Bould. Interment in Grimesthorpe Cemetery.

Christena JOHNSTON, a resident of Manitowaning, passed away at the
Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Sunday, September 2,
2001 at the age of 90 years. She was born at Grimsthorpe, daughter
of the late John and Arabella

She had worked as
a Registered Nursing Assistant. Christena enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and bingo.

LOUKIDELIS, 70 years,
of Sudbury who passed away Saturday morning, January 6th,
2001 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (Laurentian Site), was born in
North
Bay,
July 11th, 1930, and married Ruth Helen
(MOTT) in
Brantford in 1955. A well respected man of faith and justice, Spyros
was the Regional Senior Justice of Superior Court Northeastern Ontario.
He had served as the Chancellor of Thorneloe University (Laurentian),
a member of the Executive Council of The Archdiocesan Council of the Greek
Orthodox Church of North America and President of the Judge’s
Association of Ontario (County and District). Beloved
