In loving memory of Joseph Francis "Frank" FOX, 88 years, Wednesday evening, March 14, 2001, at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home.
Beloved husband of the late Margaret {ASSINEWAI} FOX (predeceased 1988.)
Loving father of Donald ASSINEWAI (FOX) (Frieda), Charles FOX (Betty Joan),
Isadore FOX, Mae FOX, Thelma FOX (Jon) and Paul Nigonijigij (FOX) (Teckla.)
Loving son of Joseph and Mary FOX, both predeceased. Dear brother of
Victoria JACKO, Lena RIVERS, Elaine RIVERS. Predeceased by Helen RIVERS, Henry FOX, George RIVERS (FOX), Rainy RIVERS and Arthur RIVERS. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Rested at the St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah. Funeral Mass was held in the church Saturday, March 17, 2001. Interment in the Buzwah Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Jackson and Barnard Funeral Chapel, Sudbury.

VICTORIA (FOX) JACKO In Loving Memory of Victoria (Fox) Jacko, 85 years, who passed away Friday, June 22, 2001 at her home. Beloved wife of David Jacko (predeceases 1981), Loving mother of Arthur (wife Annie predeceased), Marie, Ursula, Helen (husband Bernie), Rita (husband Francis), Henry, Gloria (husband Gilbert), Lawrence (wife Isabel), Rose (husband Gary), Vernon predeceased, Betty (husband Frank), and Cecil. Dear grandmother of 73 grandchildren, 109 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lena of London, Henry and Frank both predeceased. Funeral Mass was held at the Holy Cross Mission in Wikwemikong, Tuesday June 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. Interment at the Wikwemikong Cemetery. Friends called at the Holy Cross Mission after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Sarah Mae CARLISLE
In loving memory of Sarah Mae CARLISLE, January 20, 1915-May 16, 2001.
Sadie CARLISLE, a resident of Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury, died at her residence on Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at the age of 86 years. She was born at Hillsburgh, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman JACKSON. Sadie and Willard had lived in Mindemoya from 1946-1998, where they were both active in the Missionary Church, and were instrumental in the building of the church. Sadie enjoyed playing the piano, and kept very busy with such activities as baking bread and selling it to tourists, keeper of Pirates Cove for a number of years, and owning Jiffy Lunch. She also did beautiful knitting and crocheting.
Sadie's beloved husband, Willard predeceased on April 12, 2001. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Wayne and Jerry CARLISLE of Sudbury, Gary and Jacquie CARLISLE of North Bay and Colleen and Keith SPRY of British Columbia. Proud and loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sister Nellie HURN and brother Leslie JACKSON. The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, May 19 with Reverend Ray KLOETSTRA officiating. Interment in Mindemoya Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay.

Wife of the late Norman SKIPPEN. Dear mother of Sheila EARNSHAW of Toronto. Stepmother of Nancy (husband Keith JONES) of Oakville, George SKIPPEN of Ottawa. Step-grandmother of Jim, David, Joanne, and Jeffery. Step-great grandmother of six. Predeceased by both sisters Thelma FLOOD and Myrtle BOWRA. Remembered by brother-in-law George SKIPPEN. Loved by nieces Lyn JACKSON, Corrine TURNER, Judith KENIGSON. Predeceased by nephew Charles FLOOD. Memorial service was held on Thursday, September 20 at Island Funeral Home with Reverend Faye Stevens officiating. Cremation with burial of ashes in Elmview Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Manitoulin Health Centre Auxiliary. Arrangements entrusted to Island Funeral Home, Little Current.

Bill and Hazel enjoyed their summers at Lake Manitou for 21 years. Beloved husband of Hazel (SMITH) ROWE. Loved by his family Mike and Bonnie ROWE, Michaela and Ian of R.R#1 Dutton, Christena and Henry LARSEN, Kelly of London, Don and Luanna ROWE, Amber, Becky and Kayleigh of Saint Thomas, Lind JOHNSTONE, Karyn, Leslie and Elizabeth of Dutton, Steve and Tammy ROWE, Ashley and Jenna of Fingal. Loving brother of Marguerite HARDY of Melbourne, Jessie LUNN of R.R.#1 of Wallacetown, Jean-Marie JACKSON of Saint Thomas, Vera LAMPMAN of Aylmer and Pat HARRIS of St. Thomas. Predeceased by a sister Shirley STAFFORD. Relatives and Friends were received at the Arn Funeral Home, Dutton, Tuesday. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 17 at 1: 30 p.m. from Knox-St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Dutton. Interment in Cowal-McBride Cemetery.

NIEMI, Eini Elizabeth (HALLIKAINEN)
The family of Eini Elizabeth NIEMI wish to announce her passing on
Thursday January 4th, 2001 age 96 at the Pioneer Manor, Sudbury.
Born in 1904 in Simo, Finland she was the first child of 16 for her
parents Pekka and Hulda HALLIKAINEN. The family emigrated to Canada
in 1909 and resided in Crean Hill and area. In her teen years Eini
moved to Creighton, Copper Cliff and finally to Sudbury to work.
Eini was a long time member of the Loyal Finns of Canada (Sampo
Hall) and the Treasurer of the Ladies Aid Group of St. Matthew’s
Lutheran Church for over 30 years. Married to Nestor NIEMI
(predeceased in 1962,) Eini was the mother of two, George NIEMI
(wife Annette) of Sudbury and Elsie JACOBSON of Walden. She was the
proud Mumma of four grandchildren, Shelly (husband Sean) of Kelowna
B.C., Dana (husband Andi) of Orangeville, Darren (wife Natalie) of
Lively, and Neil (wife Michelle) of Sudbury. She was the Isomumma of
two great grandchildren, Christian and Page. Eini is survived by
four siblings, Selma HALLONEN, Reino HALLIKAINEN, Ethel HANNINEN,
Gertie HOBBS all from Sudbury. Predeceased by siblings Alfred
HALLIKAINEN, Arvo HALLIKAINEN, Ida NORRENA, Walter HALLIKAINEN, Bill
HALLIKAINEN, Eino HALLIKAINEN, Helmi NIEMELA, Laila WARKUS, Harry
HALLIKAINEN, Leo HALLIKAINEN, and Tauno HALLIKAINEN. Resting at the
Jackson And Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral
Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Monday, January 8th, 2001 at
11: 30 am. Interment in the Parklawn Cemetery, Sudbury. Donations to
the CNIB Talking Book Library or St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church
Memorial Fund would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2 - 5; 7 - 9
pm Sunday and after 10: 30 am Monday).
