June 11 1944-January 22 2001.
Ronald OWL, a resident of Sucker Creek First Nation, died at his
residence on Monday, January 22, 2001 in his 57th year, after a
courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love and laughter. Ron
had served in the USA Army as a specialist during the Viet Nam war.
He had received the Cambodia Campaign Ribbon as well as other medals
and decorations. He had worked for Canada post in Toronto for 15
years retiring in 1990, when he moved home to Sucker Creek, and then
worked as a labourer for the Sucker Creek Band. He enjoyed sports,
hockey and football, but he took great pleasure in reading and
watching documentaries on war, and reading science fiction books and
magazines.

Brandon of Sucker Creek, Trevor (Carrie
MIGWANS) of Sudbury and
Taryan of Waterloo. Loved and proud grandfather of Tyler, Hunter and
Trevor Jr. Also survived by treasured little sister Lori Madahbee
(Danny) of Sucker Creek, Shirley

brother Same (wife Josephine) of Michigan. Special friend of Sylvia

seven nieces and five nephews.

Friends may call at the Sucker Creek Community Centre on Tuesday and
Wednesday. The funeral service will be conducted there on Thursday,
January 25, 2001 at 11: 00 am. with Reverend Richard White officiating.
Interment in Sucker Creek Cemetery.
