Ronald OWL, a resident of Sucker Creek First Nation, died at his
residence on Monday, January 22, 2001 in his 57th year, after a
courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love and laughter. Ron
had served in the USA Army as a specialist during the Viet Nam war.
He had received the Cambodia Campaign Ribbon as well as other medals
and decorations. He had worked for Canada post in Toronto for 15
years retiring in 1990, when he moved home to Sucker Creek, and then
worked as a labourer for the Sucker Creek Band. He enjoyed sports,
hockey and football, but he took great pleasure in reading and
watching documentaries on war, and reading science fiction books and
magazines.

Brandon of Sucker Creek, Trevor (Carrie
MIGWANS) of Sudbury and
Taryan of Waterloo. Loved and proud grandfather of Tyler, Hunter and
Trevor Jr. Also survived by treasured little sister Lori Madahbee

Friends may call at the Sucker Creek Community Centre on Tuesday and
Wednesday. The funeral service will be conducted there on Thursday,
January 25, 2001 at 11: 00 am. with Reverend Richard White officiating.
Interment in Sucker Creek Cemetery.

Catherine BROWN, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, died at the St. Joseph's
Health Centre, Sudbury, on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at the age of 85 years.
She was born at Ice Lake, daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine
{KERR}
BRANDOW.
Catherine had been a school bus driver for many years. She was a
member of the Ice Lake Church of Christ and the Ice Lake Women's Institute
and enjoyed knitting. Catherine was a kind and loving mother, grandmother
and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed, but many memories will be
shared with much love.
Catherine as predeceased by her first husband Alexander
McDOUGALL in 1960.
She later married Clarence
BROWN who predeceased in 1998. Dearly loved

Logan, David, Miranda, Zachary, Morgan and Liam. Predeceased by a sister
Laura.
The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel with Pastor
Les CRAMP officiating on Saturday, May 5, 2001. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.

Manitoulin Lodge Volunteers would be appreciated.
