CORBIERE-
In loving memory of a dear uncle, Barry, who passed away, July 13 1999.
Sometimes an old-fashioned song
Brings us a thought of you,
Sometimes a flower as we pass along,
Or a sky that is azure blue,
Or a silver lining in the clouds
When the sun is peeping through.
-Sadly missed and always remembered by Debbie, Earl, Deana and Deidre.

Ella DUBRUL
In loving memory of Ella DUBRUL, 1905-2001.
She was born Ella KENDALL in Plattsburg, N.Y., the daughter of a Baptist minister whose calls took the family to Antrim, N.H., Cranbrook, B.C., Dehli and Norwich, Ontario. She graduated first in her class from Woodstock High School. At Toronto Normal School she met Stuart CORK. They married in 1927 and raised two sons David and Kendall, and a foster-son Flight Sergeant John GARDINER who was shot down in February, 1945. Their daughter Eleanor died in infancy in 1946.
In 1935 they founded Killarney Mountain Camp, a summer resort in Baie Fine then designed and built Birch Island Lodge on the Whitefish River Indian Reserve, (Birch Island) near Little Current, Ontario, which they operated from 1940 until the beautiful lodge burned in 1953. She was a Director of Northern Ontario Outfitters Association and wrote its constitution.
From 1942 to 1945 she directed a novel recreation program at Trinity K Club, the first girl's work program undertaken by the Kiwanis Club of Toronto.
In 1946 she helped Stuart found a new program in Institutional Management at the University of Toronto. After his passing in 1950 the program was moved to Ryerson, where it eventually grew into the present degree program in Hospitality.
In 1952 she married Dr. George Harvey WORTHINGTON in Vancouver, B.C. After he passed on in 1954 she attended Columbia University in New York City where she set a record number of points taken in one semester (30) and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Public Law and Government.
In 1960 she married Stephen DUBRUL, with whom she celebrated her most cherished achievement, a 25th wedding anniversary. They lived at first in Detroit, Michigan, but mainly north of there on Lake George Road, Lake Orion. There she researched and published two books, "The Worst of the Bargain" and "What Happened in Murdochville", and served as a Director of WTVS Public TV.
After so much growth, both natural and by acquisition, she leaves a large and diverse family of CORK, FINLAY, DUBRUL, and GALVIN, extending down to great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, July 17 at 10: 30 a.m. at Saint John's Chapel of St. Michael's Cathedral, Toronto.
