Thomas Brian PORTER
In loving memory Thomas Brian PORTER, November 9, 1937-September 2, 2001.
Tom PORTER, a resident of Gore Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Sunday, September 2, 2001, at the age of 63 years. He was born in Sudbury, son of the late Thomas Reginald and Annie Margaret {BUCHANAN} PORTER.
Tommy had taught school from 1969-1979, in Gore Bay, Capreol and lastly in West Bay at Manitoulin Secondary School. In his earlier years, he enjoyed figure skating. Tom also enjoyed reading and arts and entertainment. He will be sadly missed by his Friends and loving family.
Loving brother of Marianne KNIGHT of Toronto, Margaret PORTER of Toronto, Rob Roy PORTER and his wife Linda of Sault Ste. Marie, and sister-in-law Eldene and her husband Buck LONGHURST of Sault Ste. Marie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Godfrey.
Tom's request was that there was to be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place followed by burial of ashes. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2002. Arrangements entrusted to Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay.

J. Wayne CRANSTON, Port Elgin, Ontario, May 29 1944-May 5 2001.
Formerly of Sheguiandah, Ontario. Beloved son of Ray (deceased) and Norine CRANSTON of Markham, Ontario.
Beloved brother of Jean and husband Blaine BOSWELL of Pittsburgh, and Beverly and husband David HILL of Stouffville, brother-in-law of Marilyn and husband Mike PALMER of Tiverton, Karen and husband Todd KENNEDY of McGregor. Dear uncle to Scott and Sheryl, Leslie and Karen, Warren, Daisy and Brittany. Predeceased by brother Merlyn, mother-in-law Edna DUCK and his faithful friend Tasha.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, conducted by Reverend Margaret Greenhow. Place of burial: Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Darren PALMER, Dieter SZLAPA, Dave HILL, Gary GREEN, Dave MARSHALL and Blaine BOSWELL. Honorary pallbearers were Scott OTTEWELL, Geo. ZIMMERMAN, Mike PALMER and Dietrich BUCHWALD.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to W. Kent Milroy Funeral Home, Port Elgin Chapel.

Dorothy Jean ARNIEL
In loving memory of Dorothy Jean ARNIEL, December 17, 1926-July 16, 2001.
Dorothy ARNIEL, a resident of Kingston, and formerly of Gore Bay, died at Kingston on Monday, July 16, 2001 at the age of 74 years. She was born at Ice Lake, daughter of the late Robert and Louise {WRIGHT} DEARING.
Dorothy had a number of hobbies and interests including sewing, going to yard sales, volunteering at the nursing home and will be remembered for her collection of tea cups. Dorothy's greatest love was for her family. She will be sadly missed, but many happy times will be cherished. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Eugene ARNIEL. Loving step-mother of Fred and Stephanie ARNIEL of Mills, and loving mother of Bob and Judy ARNIEL of Saint John's, Newfoundland, Marylou and Jim SITOSKI of Kingston and Tom ARNIEL of Belleville. Proud grandmother of Stephen and Kenneth. Also survived by sisters-in-law Florence ARNIEL of Sault Ste. Marie and Betty ARNIEL of Sarnia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by siblings and their spouses, Walter DEARING, George and Gladys DEARING, Cliff and Grace DEARING, Herb and Georgina DEARING, Bob DEARING and Gladys and George BUCK.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21 with Pastor Les Cramp officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay.
