ROGERS, “Jim” James
In loving memory of James “Jim” Rogers, 80 years of Sudbury, who
passed away Saturday morning, January 6th, 2001, at the Sudbury
Regional Hospital - St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Born in Sturgeon
Falls, he married Frances (Mazurick) in 1949 in Sudbury. A longtime
Sudbury resident, he was a smelter worker at the Copper Cliff
Smelter having 29 years service at
INCO retiring in 1977. He served
overseas during World War II with the Canadian Army Three Rivers
Regiment Armour Corps. He was a former member of the Royal Canadian
Legion Branch #76 Sudbury and the War Pensioners of Canada. He spent
many happy times at his camp on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing. Jim
was devoted to his loving family. Beloved husband of Frances
(Mazurick) Rogers of Sudbury. Loving father of Laura (husband Gary
Walton) of Lisle, John (wife Carol) of Campbell River, B.C., Patti
predeceased 1980, Gary (wife Heather) of Naughton and Bonnie
(husband Rob de
BORTOLI) of Elliot Lake. Cherished grandfather of
Jeff, Gavin, Melissa, Mathew, Madeline, Sarah, Leah, Samuel, Julie,
Elizabeth and Benjamin. Dear son of George and Mary Ellen

Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Monday,
January 8th, 2001 at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.

Will be sadly missed by many cousins and Friends.
Dennis was a first year student at Cambrian College studying in the First
Nation Financial Management Program. He was Treasurer of the Cambrian
Native Student Association. He enjoyed hockey, golf, baseball and horseback
riding.
Visitation was at the Nishin Community Centre, Sagamok on Sunday, March 4
from 1: 30pm. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, March 6 at 1:00 pm at the Nishin
Community Centre, Sagamok with Father John Duggan officiating. Interment in
the Sagamok Cemetery.
