Arnold Ammon MORRELL
In loving memory of Arnold Ammon MORRELL who passed away at his residence in Spanish on Friday, June 8, 2001 at the age of 70 years.
Predeceased by wife Audrey (1965) and daughter Anita.
Will be missed by daughters Amber and Ed MERRYLEES and her children Edeana, Adrianne, and Kevin, Susan and Barry COWAN and her children Jennifer and Jeremy, Diane, Leatha, and MaryAnn and their children.
Beloved son of Lawrence (predeceased) and Leatha, Dear brother of Ruth and husband Carl ROBINSON, Norris and wife Verna, Ellen and husband Morris BELL, Lloyd and friend Evelyn, Evan and wife Gertrude and Edward.
Predeceased by sister-in-law Betty MORRELL. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at the Island Funeral Home
with Pastor Margaret WOOD officiating. Burial at Gordon Cemetery.

Melvin David BELL
In loving memory of Melvin David BELL, who was a resident of Gore Bay, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2001 at the age of 71 years. He was born in Burpee Township, February 12, 1930 son of the late Percy Alexander
and Jessie {GRAHAM} BELL. Mel had worked for the Department of Highways for 30 years, retiring in 1990. In his earlier years, Mel liked to hunt and fish, but later enjoyed being at the camp, and spending time with family and Friends.
Dearly loved husband of Claire {McPHEE} BELL, loving and loved father of Rick and his wife Christine of Stoney Creek, Sharon and her husband Andy PRIOR of Espanola and Annette and her husband Wendell CLARKE of Gore Bay. Proud grandfather of Jodi, Vannessa, Cory and Sherri, Leanne and Kevin, Ashley and Caitlin and great-grandchildren Connor, Hannah and Paige. Dear brother of Ronald and his wife Mary BELL of Naughton and Jarvis BELL of Evansville. Predeceased by great grand_son Ethan and sister Sandra. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home on Monday, July 23, 2001. The funeral service was conducted with Pastor Erwin Thompson officiating. Cremation followed with burial in Mills Cemetery.

Leatha Melvina MORRELL Leatha Melvina MORRELL, Thursday, August 16, 2001 at the Mindemoya Hospital, age 92 years.
Predeceased by beloved husband Lawrence (1966). Remembered with love by children: Ruth and Carl ROBINSON, Arnold and Audrey (both predeceased,) Norris and Verna, Ellen and Morris BELL, Lloyd and friend Evelyn, Betty (predeceased), Evan and Gertrude and Edward.
Will be remembered by many grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren. Sister of Lloyd and Kay CAMPBELL, Vern and Ruth CAMPBELL (both predeceased,) Dorothy MERRYLEES (predeceased,) half sister to Alberta SPRY (predeceased,) Marvin and Reona CAMPBELL.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, August 18 2001 in the new Complex in Evansville. Arrangements by Island Funeral Home.

Norman James McLEOD
In loving memory of Norman James McLEOD, December 15 1925-May 2 2001.
Norman J. McLEOD, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at the age of 75 years. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, son of the late Reverend Norman and Nancy Beatrice {FAREWELL} McLEOD. Norman is a veteran of World War II, serving in the Infantry and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Norman worked at the Experimental Farm in Ottawa, then moved to Sudbury and relocated to Manitowaning, operating John's Drive-in Restaurant for a few years. Norm enjoyed classical music, collecting model cars and tinkering with electronics and small appliances.
Dear friend of June NEWMAN of Manitowaning. Norman will be sadly missed by his children Grant and wife Connie of Chiliwack, B.C. and Nancy and husband Kevin of Canmore, Alberta, and sister Meriam BELWAY of Sudbury. Dear grandfather of Lisa, Ryan, Daniel, Gabriel, Kelly Ann, Graham and also survived by nieces and nephews.
At Norman's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 5, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Manitowaning Chapel Funeral Home, Manitowaning. A Legion Service was held prior to the memorial service. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Manitowaning Chapel Funeral Home.
