PORTER Reverend Thomas
July 12, 1956-December 14, 1999
It's hard to believe one year has passed since Reverend Thomas PORTER lost his courageous battle with cancer. We are indebted to many people who supported us during Tom's illness, death and these subsequent months.
The enduring love of our families who stood with us was invaluable.
We are grateful for the compassion and honesty of Doctor BENEDICT, Doctor STADNYK and Doctor JEEVES who helped us face each new day as it came. The medical staff at Mindemoya Hospital who cared for Tom and us with tenderness, will always be remembered.
Spring Bay Pentecostal Church suffered a loss as well, losing a pastor, and we are thankful to Reverend Frank HANER who capably ministered in Tom's place. The church family who prayed for us and looked after our physical needs hold a special place in our hearts.
We are grateful for the kindness and understanding we received from Principal Everett EADIE and staff of Central Manitoulin Public School and also Principal Roy EATON and staff of Manitoulin Secondary School.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the Manitoulin Ministerial for their thoughtfulness and prayer. To Ted and Barb CULGIN who led us so compassionately through such a painful time, we appreciate you.
Thank you to our Friends and neighbours both in Spring Bay and Mindemoya who have helped and cared for us so admirably over the past year. Above all, we are grateful to God who has proven Himself faithful to us each day. We miss Tom, a husband and Dad, immensely, but we look forward to seeing him again some day.
Sincerely, Karen, Darla and Angela

HANNAH Joseph V.
-In loving memory of Joseph V., 1912-1999
Memories
No further away than a picture
A smile or remembered phrase
Our Dad lives on in memories
So close in many ways.
For how often does a sunset
Bring nostalgic thoughts to mind
Of moments that our Dad once shared
In days now left behind!
How often has a flower
Or a crystal autumn sky
Brought golden recollections
Of happy days gone by.
Yes, memory has a magic way
Of keeping loved ones near-
Ever close in mind and heart
Is the one we hold most dear.
-Miss you Dad. Love the family.
