Nicole MORELL already misses being pregnant.
Believing that "your heart becomes bigger" upon becoming a parent,
Ms. MORELL is not ruling out a third child. "Once you have one
kid, it doesn't seem exponentially harder," she says. But with
her husband, Steve
CIMICATA, interested in adopting, this couple
might be looking elsewhere for their next.
Filling orders frantically and painting furniture with the windows
open, Ms. MORELL was able to keep her on-line children's furnishings-and-accessories
business running almost until Henry was born on March 20 at Mount
Sinai Hospital.
His weight was "a matter of dispute," according to Mr.
CIMICATA:
After "some confusion" at the hospital, all parties concerned
have settled on 7 pounds 11 ounces.
Henry is sedate, the polar opposite of his three-year-old sister.
"Stella was born in a snowstorm and we were housebound for five
weeks," Ms.
MORELL said.
"This time, it's been great. The weather has been wonderful….
It's a good time of year to have a baby."

They have enough family members to field two basketball teams
-- and that isn't even counting the parents.
Patricia and Michael
MORELLI welcomed their 10th child last month.
Noah Bradley weighed in at eight pounds, two ounces.
"We always thought we would have six, then we had eight and now
we are at 10," Patricia said.
Their big family sometimes startles strangers who guess it must
be because the couple come from big families.
"My husband came from a family of two kids and I am from a family
of four kids, so you can't say it is family influence. Sometimes
I think our families think we are nuts," Patricia said.
The London family includes two sets of twins, which helped boost
their numbers. Their oldest is 15.
Michael is a teacher and Patricia babysits other children in
her home.
The big challenge for the
MORELLIs is getting their athletic
children to all of their sports, including hockey and basketball
this time of the year.
"In the summer, we had them all registered in soccer and it was
crazy," Patricia said. "It is just continual."
With their largest vehicle holding only eight, the
MORELLIs have
to take two vehicles when they go to church.
But most of the time they are heading in different directions
anyway, Patricia said.
The exception is at dinner, when they all sit down together,
she said.
"We do it every night -- everybody always asks us that."
Their latest arrival is healthy and a good sleeper.
"That was the problem, I had too many good sleepers, no colicky
ones," Patricia said.
As for the question will they have any more? The answer is maybe.
"I don't know, I am starting to get old, though," she said.

SMITH will celebrate his 20th birthday on Friday.
SMITH, founder of Hasbeans Ltd., is a leap-year baby. And while
he isn't planning much for his 20th, he enjoys having a rare
and special birthday.
"Growing up, I was very proud of being different," said
SMITH,
born February 29, 1928, at the family's Clarence Street home,
just blocks from where his specialty coffee shop has been serving
up fresh java since 1969.
SMITH wasn't the only "leaper" in the family. His grandfather
was one, too, although he wouldn't venture to guess from which
year.
"How would I know? I'm only 20,"
SMITH jested.
"My kids used to ask me, 'How old are you daddy?' I would tease
and say '11.' "
SMITH's
Irish heritage meant men in the family were commonly
taunted during a leap year. According to Irish folklore, February 29
was the only day a woman should ask for a man's hand in marriage.
"No woman ever proposed to me though,"
SMITH joked.
SMITH was engaged to be married on what would have been his fifth
birthday during a leap year in 1948. He and his wife Donna will
celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on October 9.

SMITH family-owned produce, deli and coffee
kiosks at the Convent Garden Market, fifth-generation
SMITHs
still greet patrons with a cup of Joe and a smile.

BELLO, a nurse at London Health Sciences Centre and
a leap year baby, is fascinated by the statistics.
But, as a child, she was less impressed with her February 29

"At times I felt as though something was missing, even when I
celebrated a day early or a day late."
This year,

44. She's looking forward to a special dinner with her husband
and the couple plans a trip to Dublin in June.
