James Finn Maron TRAVERS has a lot to live up to in life, but luckily, it's all in his name.
Born August 11, to Marie MARON and Mark TRAVERS, James is named after his late paternal grandfather who had a "legacy of passion and love for life and family," the newborn's 32-year-old mom said.
The couple decided to draw inspiration from close family members to name James only recently.
"If you asked me a few years ago, it would have just been a name that I liked or a trendy name," Ms. MARON, a lawyer, said.
"And I just thought, 'Why not have a name that would be meaningful?' So when it's no longer trendy or fun, what does his name mean to you?"
His first middle name comes from Ms. MARON's grandfather, Faivish GINZBURG, and means "pure and illuminated."
"I wanted to include the fact that my family has a different background," she said, noting she and her son are Jewish, but Mr. TRAVERS, 38, and a lawyer, is of Scottish descent.
"I think it's a special thing to pass on to your child, to give them a name of someone close to you. [I wish him] the courage, love and pride of his namesakes."
James is the first child of the married couple of almost three years. Should she have more children, Ms. MARON isn't the least bit worried about what she'd call them.
"There's never a shortage of loved family members."

Grade 1 teacher honoured at ex-pupil's 80th birthday celebration

A milestone birthday, at any age, is worth celebrating.
And it certainly is for Eileen STEIN, who celebrated her 80th birthday in London yesterday.
So much so, she invited her Grade 1 teacher.
Evelyn MARSH, 94, was a special guest among family and Friends at the party for STEIN, who makes her home in Huntington Beach, California., just south of Los Angeles.
"Little girls fall in love with their teachers and I fell in love with her," STEIN said of her favourite teacher.
"It's my birthday, but she's my guest of honour."
"I'm honoured to be able to come," MARSH said.
Seventy-five years ago, they were Eileen HUNTER and Miss FREEMAN, meeting together in the small room designated for the primary grades at the two-room Gladstone school near Belmont.
"She was a good student," the teacher said of her pupil.
MARSH was originally from Mount Elgin and after a year of normal school, came to Gladstone for her first teaching job.
She was in the classroom only four years, but she never left Gladstone.
She married, settled on a farm in the area and raised four children.
STEIN came to school already reading, having been taught by her mother.
She recalled her dark-haired teacher with "this wonderful round face," who was always so placid.
"You were very calm," STEIN said to MARSH.
MARSH, she said, instilled in her a love for learning, which has lasted her entire life.
"I've just gone to school my whole life because she just started me off so well."
STEIN went to high school and Western, then married her first husband, who was a pharmacist.
They moved to Winnipeg, then to California in 1952. They had two children.
STEIN continued to go to school -- she completed her designation in personnel at University of California at Los Angeles -- and worked.
Her numerous jobs included personnel work and working in the movie industry for Oscar-winning screenwriter James Poe, who wrote Around the World in Eighty Days and Lilies of the Field.
She also works in real estate.
Her first husband died in 1983. She and her second husband, a retired dentist who is now involved in real estate, have travelled extensively -- to 72 countries since they were married in 1987.
"Seventy-three if you count Liechtenstein," STEIN said, laughing. They plan to add three more countries this year, with trips planned to New Guinea, Tasmania and Russia.
