Ready and not waiting for anyone, baby Angela arrived into the
world with a police escort.
Londoner Diana
SARTORETTO gave birth early yesterday morning
in the bathroom of her Pond Mills-area home.
"The police were there first, but I didn't really talk to them
-- I was too busy screaming," she said.
Angela FACCENDA was born shortly after 4: 15 a.m. with the help
of two London police officers and several paramedics.
The healthy baby weighed in at six pounds and six ounces. She
wasn't due until next Saturday, said
SARTORETTO.
"She is named after my grandmother, who passed away awhile ago,"
said father Robert
FACCENDA.
SARTORETTO was home with
FACCENDA at the time. She waited up
for him after he'd been in a car collision late Thursday.
Seven-year-old Breanna said she was excited to have a new baby
sister. Despite the unexpected delivery,
SARTORETTO said she
was quite calm and grateful for the police and paramedics' help.
"They were very wonderful, we thanked them a lot," she said.
"I kind of knew (the baby) was coming during the day."
