Doris FOGGO (left) is a resident at Stayner Nursing Home. She
celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday with Friends and family,
including daughter Barbara
BIGLEY (right) and Bigley's partner,
Albert ATTWELLS (rear.) The day included special greetings, including
a framed plaque from Simcoe-Grey member of provincial parliament
Jim Wilson.
FOGGO was born in Surrey, England on February 16,
1908 and came to Canada as a war bride in July 1946. She has
one daughter, two granddaughters, two great-grand_sons and two
great-granddaughters.
FOGGO, who for many years worked as a barmaid,
lived in Toronto after coming to Canada and later in Innisfil.
In her younger days
FOGGO also enjoyed professional ballroom
dancing. She came to Stayner Nursing Home almost five years ago.
