Another of those whose lives have been associated with the early days
of Orillia has passed away. Francis Ford
GAUDAUR, whose death
occurred at this home in Atherley on Tuesday, August 21, was a son of
the late Mr. and Mrs Francis
GAUDAUR, and was born on Victoria Point
in the year 1850. His early life was all connected with Orillia, and
like his brother, Mr. Jake
GAUDAUR, he was always associated with its
water sports. Fifty years ago, he too was regarded as a coming
oarsman. Fifty-six years ago he married at St. James Anglican Church
to Miss Maria
FRANKLIN, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs John
FRANKLIN, of Orillia.
For a couple of years they made their home at Victoria Harbour, then
moved to Sudbury where they remained for twenty years before returning
to Atherley. Besides his widow, Mr.
GAUDAUR leaves two sons and four
daughters. Mr John

EARWALKER died three years ago.
There are also twenty-four Grandchildren and five great grand children.
Three sisters and one brother remaining are Mrs

MARTIN, Buffalo, Miss Lydia
GAUDAUR and Mr. Jake
GAUDAUR,
Atherley. The funeral was held on Thursday, August 23, to the church
of the Guardian Angels were mass was celebrated by the Rev Father
McKENNA.
Interment was made in St. Michael's cemetery and the
pallbearers were Messrs.
