Another of those whose lives have been associated with the early days of Orillia has passed away. Francis Ford GAUDAUR, whose death occurred at this home in Atherley on Tuesday, August 21, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs Francis GAUDAUR, and was born on Victoria Point in the year 1850. His early life was all connected with Orillia, and like his brother, Mr. Jake GAUDAUR, he was always associated with its water sports. Fifty years ago, he too was regarded as a coming oarsman. Fifty-six years ago he married at St. James Anglican Church to Miss Maria FRANKLIN, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs John FRANKLIN, of Orillia. For a couple of years they made their home at Victoria Harbour, then moved to Sudbury where they remained for twenty years before returning to Atherley.
