FYI: Upcoming Festive Heritage Events

We travel to Aurora for the first of today’s festive heritage events. This special event is not only a Christmas celebration, it is also the 150th anniversary of Hillary House, the Aurora Historical Society’s premier heritage property. On Saturday, December 8th, the Hillary House players are presenting ” A Canadian Christmas.”  Join the players for an evening of stories, music and memories that stretch back over 150 years.

Performances are on Saturday, December 8th, at 2:00 and 7:00 pm at Hillary House, 15372 Yonge Street (map)

Tickets, which include refreshments, are $10 and are available from the Aurora Historical Society at 905-727-8991.

Due to capacity restrictions, please purchase tickets in advance.

Our next festive heritage event is in the Hamilton area.  Drop by Westfield Heritage Village in Rockton and enjoy an afternoon of Christmas in the Country, complete with wagon rides, caroling, and of course, Father Christmas.

Admission: Special event pricing applies. Adults: $11, Seniors/Disabled: $10, Children: $6.50. Children 5 and under are free.

Parking is free.
