Mennonite Archives of Ontario Launches Guide to Ontario Mennonite Peace History

“Spanning the years 1786 to the present, this guide highlights the rich collections in peace history held at the Mennonite Archives of Ontario. Listings range from 19th-century militia exemption papers and First World War correspondence with government, to interviews with Second World War conscientious objectors and efforts to raise awareness of Central American conflicts in the 1980s. A series of short articles set the context for Mennonite peace activities in Ontario. New listings will be added continually as peace-related records make their way to the Archives.”
