FYI: Canadian Army Overseas Honours and Awards (1935-1945) Scanned Images

Do you have any WWII veterans in your family tree? Did you know that the Directorate of History and Heritage has a database of scanned images of Canadian Army Overseas Honours and Awards for WWII?

To give you an idea of what these images look like, and the information they contain, here is a link to the scanned image we found for a Major Edward Marshall Smith, who received a Distinguished Service Order (DSO) in 1944:

Even if you do not have a WWII vet in your family tree, this is still a treasure trove of Canadian History well worth your time in exploring.
