Heritage Events for the Weekend of: Sept 29, 2012

Looking for something to do in the Newmarket area this weekend?  Check out the Elman W. Campbell Museum’s Rebel Heartland 1837 Event.  The south end of Fairy Lake Park will be transformed into a 19th century military encampment, and later in the afternoon, there will be a reenactment of the Battle of Montgomery’s Tavern.

Adding to the festivities will be wagon rides and performances by Scottish country dancers and the Newmarket Citizens Band.  2012 marks the 175th Anniversary of the Rebellion, so don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime commemoration!

Date: Saturday, September 29, 2012

Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Location: Fairy Lake Park (Wesley Brooks Memorial Conservation Area), Newmarket

Just signed up recently to OGS Blog to put our monthly meetings on it (Kingston Branch OGS) and wondered if you could tell me how to access OGS’s Facebook page. I accidently deleted your message on joining the blog and so can’t get in touch with the lady who manages the blog.
    Thanks, Margaret
