Barbara Wall La Rocque at Toronto’s Northern District Library

Barbara Wall La Rocque is the author of Wolfe Island: a legacy in stone, an historical book about the history of Wolfe Island. The book is in the OGS provincial library collection.

Barbara will lead a presentation sharing highlights from her book and discussing her family’s history in Wolfe Island, Ontario this Thursday March 17, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Northern District Branch of Toronto Public Library (right above our provincial office).

If you’re in Toronto on Thursday you are welcome to visit the library to hear her talk – and you are welcome to drop by the office and say hi, as well.

  1. Hi there,
I’d like to contact Barbara, if possible, or have her contact me. I’m doing research on my family, the Hawkins, who lived on Wolfe Island and would like more information if she has it. Please have her contact me.
    thank you!

    Hi Susan,
You have come across a post that was done back in 2011 as a public service announcement. The OGS was not actually involved with this event nor do we have any connection with the author. Ms. La Rocque does not seem to have a website that we could find to direct you to, so perhaps your best bet is to check her book to see if any contact information is provided there. Alternatively, the book’s publisher, Dundurn Press, may have some contact info for this author that is available to the public. Good luck with your family research!
