McINTOSH

If there are "London Leaf" subscribers with any record or personal knowledge of Malcolm McIntosh b 1821 S. Uist, Scotland & 1st wife Jannet McEachen b 1824 both of whom farmed at Conc 14, West William Twp. ON I am seeking a reply. Malcolm & Jannet emigrated through Toronto, ON from Lower Bornish, S. Uist, Scotland during the Highland Clearances in 1849. Before leaving Scotland they married at St. Mary's RC Church on 12 Feb 1849. This is evidenced by the Scottish Catholic Archives in Edinburgh, SC. Son John "Lachlan" b 1852 died at age 16 in 1868. His true burial record is transcribed at the Bornish St. Columba RC Cemetery. They also had a daughter Isabella Mary. It is assumed she was b in W. Williams Twp, but birth year is unconfirmed. We can also assume that Jannet McIntosh d circa 1858-1860 as her name no longer appeared in Canadian census after 1860. Malcolm subsequently married a second time to Mary Currie of W. Williams Twp & fathered 3 more children - Donald Joseph b 1861, Jannet "Jennie" b 1864 & John Donald b 1868.

Any pertinent information regarding this Jannet McIntosh will be greatly appreciated.

MULLIGAN

I am trying to locate a direct descendant of Thomas A. Mulligan & Mary McPherson, who lived in Wardsville, Mosa Twp., Middlesex County. Thomas A. Mulligan was a merchant in Wardsville, son of Thomas & Ann Mulligan, who both died in 1884. Thomas A. Mulligan died Sept. 28, 1905. Mary McPherson was the daughter of Alexander McPherson & Nancy Campbell. She married Thomas A. Mulligan on May 25, 1875. Mary died Jan.5, 1926. Thomas & Mary were buried in Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe, Ekfrid Twp., Middlesex County.

Thomas and Mary had 5 children, all born in Wardsville:
Anna Elizabeth Mulligan, married Neil E. Graham
May Mulligan, married John D. Morrow
Margaret Alexandra Mulligan, married Robert McDonald
Flora Mulligan, married Carl E. Sheppard
Albert Mulligan, married Eva Elizabeth Hobbs.

The reason for wanting to find a direct descendant of Thomas & Mary is that I have recently come into possession of their Family Bible. It was given to me by a friend who found it in a garbage dump in McDonald's Corners, Dalhousie Twp., Lanark County, Ontario. It has many births, marriages and deaths recorded in the Bible. There are 50 different items between the pages of the Bible, including photos, obituaries, letters, post cards, etc. The Bible itself is in very poor condition.
There is a wealth of information here that I would like to give to a direct descendant of Thomas & Mary. I can't believe it was thrown away. I can only hope that it was discarded after the death of a descendant here in Lanark County, and there was no family here to go through their belongings. I can't imagine family throwing it away. I have located someone who is related but not a direct descendant. They are descendants from one of Thomas' siblings. The information was shared with them, but I would really like to see the Bible & its contents go to a direct descendant.

Can you & your members help me locate one of their descendants, who may still be living in Middlesex County.
