November 15 -- "A Beginner's Guide to Genealogy on the Internet"

Nancy Cutway gave a very illuminating overview of the current state of (and exponential growth of) the Internet and how it can be used for genealogical research. Before her presentation, we held our Annual General Meeting and election of officers for 1998.

October 18 -- "The Work of The Commonwealth War Graves Commission"

Bradley Hall, a representative of The Commonwealth War Graves Commission, spoke about the important work of this organization. He left a 20-minute video (VHS) for members to borrow and view at their own leisure.

September 20 -- "Sources and Methods for Scottish Family History"

Robert Starratt, visiting from Edinburgh, writes the "Word from Scotland" column in Family Tree magazine. His presentation was very well attended and very well received.

June 21 -- "Kingston Walks"

Jack Hickman presented an audio-visual tour of downtown Kingston. A Silent Auction followed.

May 10 -- "Resources for Genealogists at the Loyalist Cultural Centre, Adolphustown"

Kathy Staples presented an overview of the history, scope and future of this significant location.

April 19 -- "Searching Military Records"

Branch member Bob Billings narrated a presentation of (Canadian) World War I and II records, which he has gathered on his own family.
