- Larry Corbett's List of Canadians Buried in North Watertown Cemetery, Watertown, Jefferson County, New York. Larry advises that he has currently transcribed more than 16,000 names (of between 20,000 and 25,000) from the cemetery's card file. He has also noticed that while there was a great influx of Canadians between 1900 and 1910, the remains of many Canadians (perhaps 10 per cent of the total) have been buried in Watertown over the years. If you find a name you are researching in this list and would like more information, there is an e-mail link to obtain more information. - The Ontario Cemeteries Finding Aid (OCFA). The OCFA is a web-searchable database consisting of the surnames, cemetery name and location of over two million interments from several thousand cemeteries, cairns, memorials, and cenotaphs in Ontario. Its content is derived from research by OGS branches, and includes first names and surnames of the listed people, as well as interment record information. Cemetery lists of Frontenac County and Lennox & Addington County (as of 2003, when the database was last updated) are posted there.
- The OGS Cemetery Index is a database that is gradually adding an index to all cemetery transcriptions done by branches of the Ontario Genealogical Society.
To order a copy of a full cemetery transcription, go to our Publications List. Kingston Branch can also photocopy pages for you from a cemetery transcription whose names are included in OCFA or the OGS Index (see our Policy on Cemetery Lookups). Or you may want to hire a local researcher.
