In 2008 the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) established a Special Interest Group for Irish Palatines (IP-SIG). This was the first SIG within OGS and is open to anyone interested in exploring the common heritage of German Protestant origins and subsequent migration from the Rhineland-Palatinate to Ireland.
As a Special Interest Group within the OGS, the IP-SIG will:
- develop regular communications with its members
- offer educational sessions at the annual OGS conference
- provide opportunities for it members to gather together
- produce occasional publications to inform its members of Irish Palatine history and genealogy.
