Meals

Meal prices are listed on the registration form.

Breakfast:

Registrants staying in the South Village Residence at Durham College receive a complimentary continental breakfast in the nearby cafeteria.  An upgraded breakfast is available for a fee, also for those staying at the residence.  If you’re not staying at the residence, please eat breakfast before you arrive.

Continental Breakfast (included in the room charge):

o   Muffins
o   Fresh fruit (usually apples, oranges, bananas)
o   Coffee, tea, juice
o   Yogurt

Upgraded breakfast (for an additional fee for those staying in residence)

o   Items listed above
o   Cereals
o   Toast/bagels
o   French toast or waffle bar (depending on the day)
o   Scrambled eggs, hashbrown/homefries, and
o  Either bacon or breakfast sausage (depending on the day)

NEW: Scottish SIG Breakfast – Sunday 7:30 – 8:30

The Scottish SIG is holding a breakfast gathering which will include a hearty Scottish-style breakfast.  This won’t be in the cafeteria; it will be in a separate room.  Anyone interested in Scottish research is invited to drop in, but if you want to eat breakfast be sure to choose the “Scottish Breakfast” option on the registration form.  The menu will be: Sausages and Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Baked Beans, Assorted Rolls, and Cheese, Assorted Breads and Scones, Assorted Juices, Coffee and Tea.

Lunch:
Hot buffet-style lunches  will also be in the cafeteria .

Bag lunches will be given out near the Marketplace.   Each includes one deluxe Kaiser sandwich (choice of tuna, egg, ham, roast beef or smoked turkey), celery and carrot sticks, two home baked cookies, one piece of whole fruit and one soft drink or juice.

Dinner:
The Friday evening buffet-style dinner will be in the cafeteria.

Banquet

The Saturday banquet will be held at another nearby location – Sikorski Hall. Bus service will be provided for a moderate fee. (MORE)

At this time, we do not know when, or if, coffee and sandwich shops on the grounds of the College will be open. However, we will list nearby food franchises by name, in order of approximate distance from the residence.
