Accommodation in College Residence
Accommodation for Conference 2012 is in the St. Lawrence College Residence, which is located immediately adjacent to the Academic building. All rooms have a private bathroom, free wi-fi, personal controls for heating and air-conditioning, telephone for free local phone calls, and a small refrigerator. Bed linens and towels are provided. You might want to toss a few clothes hangers into your car, as these are often in short supply after students move out at the end of term.
Single rooms have one single bed; double rooms have two single beds. Cost is $63.56 (56.25 + HST) per night for a single room, $79.10 ($70 + HST) for a double room.
As of March 29 there were only single rooms remaining. However, as of 1 May, due to cancellations, there MAY be a small number of DOUBLE rooms available – please contact the College Residence to check on availability.
There are outlets where you can plug in appliances like a hair dryer, microwave or coffee maker, but no appliances are supplied. There is a common kitchenette in each wing.
You must register for your residence room separately from your Conference registration. Use the attached Residence Reservation Form OGS 2012 in order to obtain the Conference rate.
Since the College will be receiving many of these forms, we suggest you fill it in (clicking on the link above will open Word) and then select “Save As” from the File menu. Give it a new, distinctive name: we suggest something like “yourname_OGS2012.doc”. Then send an email to reservations@sl.on.ca making sure to attach your newly-saved file.
If you do not have Word, you can print a PDF version of the Residence Reservation Form OGS 2012 and mail your completed form to the College, at: Conference Services, St. Lawrence College, 100 Portsmouth Avenue, Kingston, ON, K7L 5A6.
Note: there is a small number of rooms specially adapted for wheelchair users. If you require one of these rooms, you must specifically request it on your form. We suggest you submit such requests early.
